About Us

Aasha Ke Pankh Foundation Trust (AKP) is a non-profit organization (NPO) focused on raising funds to pass on to organizations working to provide equal opportunities to oppressed women and children.

We recognize that there are several organizations that are driven to do the field work to help uplift the women and children who are in tough situations.

However, they are limited by a lack of resources – primarily, the financial resources – that will allow them to work unfettered.

Through our fund-raising initiatives, we aim to collate donations and disperse it to organizations working to rescue and empower women and children.

India’s Shadow: Trafficking Ensnares Women and Children – You Can Help Break the Chains

Thousands vanish each year, victims of India’s horrific human trafficking epidemic. Over 6,500 were identified in 2022, 60% women and girls. Lured by false promises, trapped in poverty, they are forced into labor, prostitution, or marriage. Tribal communities and migrant workers are especially vulnerable.

Despite thousands freed, millions remain in India’s hidden slavery. From farms to kilns, vulnerable communities bear the brunt. Informal sectors, fear, and limited data impede progress. Let’s raise awareness, support liberation efforts, and break the chains of bonded labor.

Underreporting masks the true horror. Conviction rates remain low. But there is hope.

You can be a part of the solution. By donating to organizations fighting this injustice, you can:

  • Help rescue victims:Your contribution funds operations that locate and extract individuals from trafficking situations.
  • Provide rehabilitation:Survivors need medical care, counseling, and skills training to rebuild their lives. Your donation empowers them to heal and thrive.
  • Empower communities:Education and awareness programs in vulnerable areas are crucial for prevention. Your support strengthens these initiatives.

Together, we can break the chains of trafficking and build a brighter future for all.
